Thoughts from Moose

Hi, it's me, Moose, filling in on the blogging duties today. This is a shot of me standing outside waiting to be let in. Can you see that it is raining in this picture? How can Mom and Dad be so mean to leave me sit in the rain? I guess it might be because I ask to go out every 5 minutes or so.

Mom had treatment #23 today. She has 2 more full weeks and then a final treatment on October 6. Mom is in good spirits today and has been all week. Mom says her hair loss makes her look like 'Gollum' but I have no idea who that is.

Mom starts out each day with lots of energy and then she kind of sags as the day goes on. I recommend napping, especially napping on Dad's feet until they go numb. Mom has yet to embrace napping however.

I am trying to be very supportive of Mom. I jump up and down wildly when I first see her in the morning. She better hope I never land on her feet. I ain't skinny.

I heard that one of the vice president candidates likes to hunt Moose. Likes to hunt MOOSE?!?! I've got a bad feeling about this. Hunting me would not be very sporting. I spend all my time either in the house or in a fenced area. And I ain't exactly nimble either. The other vice president candidate says it's patriotic to pay more taxes. He apparently missed school that day in 3rd grade when the teacher explained the reason for the American Revolution.

I learned all about the revolution myself when Mom and Dad made me sit through that incredibly boring mini-series called "John Adams." 11 hours of people in funny outfits arguing. Heck, I could see that on C-Span. How about creating some shows on Mr. Purina or that guy Marty DiBergi who made the old Chuck Wagon commercials? Now that would be some good TV.

I hope you have a good weekend. Please continue to pray for Mom. Dad will be glued to the TV all weekend watching football so feel free to call Mom anytime. And be sure to encourage her to be more liberal with the biscuit distribution!

As the LSU vs. Auburn kickoff approaches, I feel the need to clarify my football allegiance. My loyalty has and will always lie with my beloved alma mater Penn State and no other. So, which team will I be rooting for in this match-up? Is it going to Go Tigers or Geaux Tigers? Well, here is a little clue: I have never gone to an LSU football game or tailgate or worn any LSU apparel. Now look back at that last picture Dave posted of me. Hmmm.
